Chicago freeze-thaw cycles and road salt are hard on concrete. Here's what we do so that the concrete we install holds up against the toughest weather conditions in Illinois:

Compacted Base Graded stone, compacted in lifts, so the slab sits on something solid instead of loose fill.
Real Reinforcement Mesh or rebar set on chairs at the right height, where it actually does its job.
Joints Cut On Time Control joints placed and cut on schedule, so the slab moves in a line you can't see.
Water Leaves The Property Pitched away from the house, so meltwater drains instead of sitting on the slab.
